Friday March 15, 7:30pm

“Truth be told, there just aren't many who can deliver Americana in as interesting and entertaining a manner – or give acoustic traditional blues such a contemporary sound – as Davis, and it sure is a lot of fun hearing him explore the different sides of the genre.” -The Blues PowR Blog
Guy Davis once said, “I like antiques and old things, old places, that still have the dust of those who've gone before us lying upon them.” Blowing that dust off just enough to see the beauty beneath is something Guy has excelled at for over twenty years of songwriting and performing. It's no wonder his reverence for the music of the Blues Masters who've gone before him is evident in every album he's ever recorded or concert he's given.

House Of Doolescu Presents
John Doyle
Saturday June 9, 7pm
From a musical family in Dublin, John’s early musical influences grew out of the English and Irish folk revivals of the 1970s. He was, most notably, influenced by such singers and guitarists as Nic Jones, Martin Carthy, Richard Thompson, Paul Brady and John Martin. However, his father, singer Sean Doyle, was probably the biggest influence of all. John went on the road as a pro at 16 with the group Chanting House which he formed with Susan McKeown. From there, John went on to form the highly acclaimed super group, Solas, with Seamus Egan, John Williams, Karan Casey and Winifred Horan which took the folk and Celtic music worlds by storm, in no small part due to John’s powerhouse rhythmic guitar style and innovative arrangements. As a member of this critically acclaimed group, John performed to sold out audiences nationally and internationally as well as appearing on many national TV and radio programs: NBC’s The Today Show, various programs for National Public Radio and Public Radio International, A Prairie Home Companion, Mountain Stage, E-Town and World Cafe. He also received three NAIRD awards and a Grammy nomination for the band’s self-titled first recording.
