More Info Caminhos Cruzados -- means "cross roads" or "paths crossed" in Portuguese and several disparate musical traditions do just that in this band. The trio features renowned jazz guitarist Dan Balmer, guitarist Nat Hulskamp, who has a background in Flamenco and Middle Eastern music, internationally respected master percussionist from Ghana, Israel Annoh, and special guest vocalist Lamiae Naki from Morocco. More Info Portland Guitar Society (PGS) is a nonprofit community organization that welcomes guitarists of all ages, all levels, and all styles. Over the years PGS has sponsored several hundred guitar concerts and events such as Portland State University’s annual guitar festival. We've provided a venue for over 300 monthly meetings, which are free and open to the public, where guitar players perform for each other in an encouraging atmosphere. PGS, however, is most proud of its work on behalf of the next generation of guitar players by providing performance opportunities, workshops, master classes, financial assistance, and guitars on loan for deserving young students. PGS preserves its open support for all styles of guitar music. PGS welcomes donations and membership support in sustaining and growing this vital part of Portland’s music community. More Info
